Aug. 20, 2026

Oswego County Workforce New York (OCWNY) hosts its annual fall job fair on Thursday, Sept. 17 from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Fulton Community Ice Arena, located at 609 W. Broadway. The event brings local employers, training institutions and job applicants together for a variety of career and training opportunities.

“The fall job fair is an excellent opportunity for residents to connect directly with local employers, explore career opportunities and learn more about available positions across a wide range of industries,” said Oswego County Legislator Mary Ellen Chesbro, District 10, chairwoman of the Legislature’s Economic Development and Planning Committee. “We’re pleased to support initiatives that connect our workforce with meaningful employment opportunities and help strengthen our local economy.”

Employers from a variety of industries will be on site, including human services, civil service, health care, transportation, trades and manufacturing.

“We’re excited to welcome job seekers to this job fair,” said Oswego County Workforce Development Director Rachel Pierce. “Attendees will have the chance to connect with employers who are actively hiring and also learn about other employment and free training opportunities available to them. These services – which include resume assistance, online learning, training funding and more – can help them explore new career option and develop the skills needed for today’s workforce.”

Information will also be available about Oswego Build, a pre-apprenticeship training program leading to local union trades, as well as ACT WorkKeys, a skills assessment to earn a National Career Readiness Certificate (NCRC). A nationally recognized credential, NCRC demonstrates essential workplace skills in applied math, workplace documents and graphic literacy.
